figurative

Being sick has changed my body, at times to a tremendous and scary amount. It leaves a feeling of subjection, of being extremely vulnerable behind and transforms this physical, earthly home into a destabilising and insecure place. I never looked much into mirrors before, but I began to observe and scrutinise my appearance, in search for signs, in order to understand. To help myself become more stable, I imagined crutches. In these drawings they are in forms of additional limbs, but I would like to continue drawings with hybrid crutches mixing flesh and technology and organic matter.
